Corrections to Hilvar
Servant of Eru
Not to tear you down or anything, Hilvar, but I would like to correct a few of your own mistakes, as a fellow fan that cares for the knowledge of his brethren.
First, "Valars" and "Maiars" are not words. In any language. Merely an often-made plural mistake. "Vala" and "Maia" are singular, whereas "Valar" and "Maiar" are plural. Don't sweat it, I was making the same mistake before I learned otherwise on the forum. You are completely correct in stating that Sauron was a Maiar and not a Valar. I must've missed the post that said otherwise...
Second, the Blue Wizards, or Ithryn Luin were named Alatar and Pallando. They went into the lands not often mention in the books (Rhun, Harad, anyone?), but Tolkien had suspected that, as Saruman, they fell into darkness. Following, as Tolkien did, into what we call the modern world, they were founders of cults and other such groups of witchcraft.
And finally, I would like to cast my vote in with Danny, Jack Sparrow, Tinowien, and all others who have expressed their morals to be higher than profane, crude humor. Keep strong, guys (and gals).
