The End of the Third Age
Lilly

As you all should know by now, I'm a huge Sam fan. So when I heard about the 9th History of Middle-Earth, "The End of the Third Age," I jumped.

It's basically a rough draft of the ROTK, starting with Sam rescuing Frodo in Cirith Ungol (then spelled Kirith). But in includes an epilouge in which Sam, years after the departure of Frodo and Bilbo, attemts to answer his children's questions.

AAAAAH!

Now, I've read a few of the HOME series, and though interesting, they tend to tell you TOO much of what you already know, and who wants to read a bunch of rough drafts when the wonderfull finished product is at your fingertips? I do like them, though, and I will buy this book if the Sam part is really any good.

Have any of you read it? Is the Sam part worth getting the whole book? Any info you've got is a help (keep in mind I'm a totall Gamgee Freak!).

Also, anyone who has yet to see the ROTK trailer and who wants it can still e-mail me for the link. It's still up, so I want to thank you all for keeping the secret so well. But you should know that my e-mail address is now changed to:

vicious_sloth@yahoo.com

So don't try my old address.

Samtastically yours.
