A Lot of Typing!
Frodo_Lives

I have a comment and a question.

First the question. In "The Hobbit" the elves were very merry and sung (is that correct grammer?) alot. They were like lalalala the whole time Thorin and Co. were in Rivendell. But then in LOTR they are more sober and not so merry. Except in that one chapter, I think it is "Many Meetings." What happened? Does anyone have any sugestions. Is it b/c in LOTR they knew the fate of Middle Earth was coming and that's why they were so solemn? Why are the way they are is my question.

Next the comment..... it's about "The Scouring of the Shire." I think not puting it in the movie is vey wrong. If you ask me ("which I note your not") "The Scouring of the Shire" was a great surprise when I was reading the book,(even though at first I was very upset). When Frodo and Co. come home you expect everything to be all happy and normal but you find out its not the same old shire and it's like really surprising! I think without "The Scouring of the Shire" it would have been a very boring ending. The same "and they lived happily ever after" type endings. It's an unexpected twist to a "hero" type story. I think people who havent read the books would be surprise and it would make the end of the movie more unpredictable. Well, I think it is so awful him not putting in the Socuring of the Shire. Anybody agree?

Frodo Lives 4ever!
