Frodo_lives / Merry Hobbits

...Darkness crept back into the forests of the world... or something like that. Don't you just love Galadriel's narrations?! They were so perfect in FOTR!
Back to the question at hand. Times they are a changing. There's a few years between The Hobbit and LOTR. However, I think that if we weren't following Frodo & Co. in the story (in case you haven't noticed, they have good reason to be downcast) and were just sitting back in the Shire, you would see more merry hobbits (at least until the scouring begins). That's how I see it.
