The Tunnels

That scene in the TT, although it IS Frodo and Sam being led through tunnels, is not Shelob's lair.

They say that, in an extended scene, Faramir, after his miraculous change of heart, shows Frodo and Sam how to escape from Osgiliath through the sewers of the city.

Now, I've already submitted an article about my reservations as to how the heck there are sewers (I believe the title was "oh, no!"...but I'm not positive. Sorry if it's not), but that's probably what you saw.
