Quick Praise
Lilly

I can't contain myself: I MUST say something about how wonderfull the actors in the LOTR are before I explode. So if you already are sure of thier talent, just exit out of this: I'm merely venting.

Billy Boyd is great. I love his line: "don't talk to it, Merry. Don't encourage it!" and the little cry he makes when he turns and realizes the tree he's in has eyes.

But one line. One line in all of them got me to the heart.

Elija Wood is fantastic, and when he looked up at Faramir, teary eyed, and such a look of sadness and terror in his face that shot right through me and drew me into the story. "The ring will not save Gondor. It has only the power to destroy. Please...let me go!"

ACk!!! It makes me want to stand up and cry "Oh, for God's sake, Faramir, let him go!!"

And's Sam's speech at the end? Great.

ACK!
ACK!
SWELL!
GROOVY!

Love this movie, despite the many changes to the story. Probably the one that annoyed me the most was not Faramir but the Gunpowder SAruman used.

Gunpowder??? Where was that in the book????

Gunpowder???

Elija Wood is an awesome actor. So's Sean Astin. And Billy Boyd and Dom Monagh...all of them. Viggo Mortensen...all of them.

Whew. Now I'm done.

Can't-wait-for-ROTK-ly yours.
