Why do I get a sneaky suspicion that parts of ROTK will annoy me royally? Pip, well spotted! The wee hobbit is on Shadowfax with Gandalf when he meets the Nazgul. I get the feeling Gandalf and Pippin are on their way to the Hallows when the Wraith pops in for a chat. A great entrance but whether the change is worth it remains to be seen. Another change which really really annoys me (because I was looking forward to seeing it), is Grond, or the lack there of. Ok, so there is a ram with a teenie tiny carved wolfshead on it. What happened to it being dragged by Oliphants and wielded by Trolls?!! It could have been a great cinematic moment in the film! Also, what happened to the "Great Darkness" that would blot out the sun and was brewed in Orodruin? In the trailer all I see is a slightly overcast day. Hell!, here in Ireland it would be considered positively sunny.
I dearly hope come december that there will not be alot of wailing and gnashing of teeth at what was done to the story and lost chances.

Gunpowder at Helms deep, well you could hardly expect tolkien to use the name we call the substance by, especially when it is described by people who have no knowledge of such matters. Gun powder, yeah a good enough explaination of what was used (Mc Nabb, Army of Darkness class film and yeah I know the scene. If only Bilbo had said the magic words before picking up the Ring there would have been no trouble, Klatuu, Verataa, Ni... nickel.. definately a 'N' word)

Balrogs Wings: Why do people think if you have wings you can fly? Balrogs, got wings - cant fly.

Just a thought, in the films, apart from Gimli, Dwarves let the other races carry the entire burden of the war. Not judging. "coughCowardscough".
