Balrogs & Other Things

I guess I've sat this one out long enough...I'll throw in my opinion to the Balrog-wing thing.

I, personally, honestly, and truly don't care that much. The balrog looked GOOD up there on screen, and the way the wings appeared, I don't think that they would have been much help flying.

Worse changes have been made: but I liked PJ's balrog. I mean, it hugely contrasted with my own imagined picture of the beast I had concocted when first reading the LOTR.

Ever seen Disney's "Hercules"? Remember the lava titan: basically a big blob? That's what my mental balrog was. I imagined the whip as sort of a tentacle: an arm extention.

So, PJ's balrog wins, wings or no.

also, It's TRUE!! (sob) the Hobbit trailer is not real. The guy who fabricated that (and I mean that in the very best sense of the word) has just made a ROTK trailer as well.

IT'S BETTER THAN THE REAL ROTK TRAILER!!!

Such spoilers!! Many are from the TT EE DVD, but many really are from the ROTK. Stunning shots of Shelob's Lair, Mt. Doom, Minas Tirith...hard to believe an unofficial trailer could be so good.
