Well "Bob Praz" your question about when, where, and from who Aragorn receives Anduril, and I repeat ANDURIL (Narsil was the name before it was reforged, as you know) was indeed a good one. I don't think anyone knows at this point, but my guess is if it's between Elrond and Arwen, I think Arwen is the better bet. PJ has really been trying to extend her role in LOTR, and so it wouldn't come as a surprise if she were the one to help him take up the position as king that he deserves. She has been ever trying to encourage him about this (remember EX DVD for Fellowship? the scene in Rivendell, when they discuss the shards of Narsil?) I have absolutely no idea where she appeared to be going in TTT with that group of elves (Lorien, grey havens, WHAT?) and I wonder if PJ himself really has made up his mind about many of these questions concerning Arwen. I'm sure we are all anxious to find out.
