Debate Forum and Essays
Diana

Thank you Kailam! I've never heard of that book, but anyone really interested is free to check it out. I have always thought authors get their ideas from their experiences, background, and knowledge. I do admire them for their creativity.

This site was originally set up for LotR movies, but we've covered so many different Tolkien topics in this debate forum. We've agreed and disagreed with one another, but that's what makes it interesting. We have variety. You all submit such good essays to help us see Tolkien's works from different point-of-views.

I submitted my 3 essays on 2 different days, but I just noticed that they were posted on the same day. I wonder what the order is for posting them.

Also I noticed that at the end of RotK, when Frodo sails towrads the Undying Lands, he sees what he saw in his dream at Bombadil's house. Maybe Bombadil had something to do with the Undying Lands. In another website, I read that Bombadil might have originated from one of the races, or he might just be a literary convenience, especially since Tolkien started LotR with the interntion of it being a kids' book.
