Re: Boromir and His Portrayel

Indeed I greatly respect Sean Bean's acting ability and his portrayel of Boromir was as best he could do with the picture portrayed by the lousy script writers. In the book Boromir is of course, arrogant, but i disagree that he is greedy. As Faramir says, he chased glory but glory not just for himself but for Gondor. I think the script writers saw Boromir as a "fall guy" whose role is to draw attention to the nobleness of Aragorn and his royal linege as the Heir of Isildur.

Not once does Boromir weep in the book yet in the film he is like a little baby. And he is meant to be the hardened warrior who held the bridge at Osgiliath and only retreated when only himself and Faramir were left? Hopefully they will show Faramirs lament for his fallen brother and the people of Gondors respect for him.
