Shire Scouring Thoughts, A Poll
Tinowien

Hallelujah, the Scouring of the Shire is out. That part made me sick. It just didn't feel right, and utterly ruined the climax. It wouldn't have been right to come back to a perfect Shire, and I hope Peter Jackson doesn't go Hollywood and do that, but the violation of the loveliest place in all of Fiction should never have been written.

So a question: What don't you like in the books? I have quite a few little arguments for Tolkien... as for J.K. Rowling, all those accursed adverbs... and the 'bookly' climax of a fight with Voldy. How that bugs me.
Does any of the above make sense?
