My Bad!
Imlar

Upon reading Annatar's post about "fate" I was thinking, yup, he's totally right, because I believe exactly the same thing he does on that matter. So I start thinking, who is he referring to when he says somebody used the word fate? Well I traced it back with consternment to my OWN article about Gullom. Um...oops. So I thought I would clarify what I meant about the importance of Gullom and why Tolkien's final ending is better than the one of Sam pushing him into the cracks. What I was getting at is that Gandalf suggested that they not deal out life and death too rashly with judgement based on present situations, because we do not know what might come out of our decisions in the future. The very fact that Tolkien allowed Gullom to live was because he had a purpose for him. So, I thought I would clarify that not-so-well-worded statement on my part! I too completely believe in the concept of free-will. All my apologies, Lord Annatar!

All peace.
