Will the Real Hero Please Stand Up
Eioule
I'd argue with anybody who'd disagree with Frodo being the true hero of the trilogy.
I don't think Frodo relied on his unsuspecting height and appearance to take the ring and throw it to Urudruin, all the while fooling Sauron. Did he really have any clear picture where to hide in Mordor (or for that matter, what kind of hiding places there will be in that God-forsaken land) and exactly how many enemies he will have to hide from (or for that matter, what kind of enemies he will have to hide from)? As if that near-death encounter with the Nazgul king at Weathertop didn't taught him a lesson that you can't even hide anywhere in Middle Earth, much more hide in Mordor where we came from? For crying out loud, it's almost like going into the center of the Tora Bora caves to deliver bin Laden a C4 bomb!
