The Duality of Christianity in the Forum
Man Of Westernesse

Was rather amazed at Chrissy’s post today quoting:
“Tolkien's colleagues say that before Tolkien became a Christian, he was a devout Catholic. LOTR was written before he was converted….”

Any fellow RC’s out there who like myself must have been otherwise busy the day ‘they’ decided we were’nt Christians anymore? I decided to look it up in the dictionary, & hey we are still included in the fold:-
“Main Entry: Chris·tian·i·ty
Pronunciation: "kris-chE-'a-n&-tE, "
Function: noun
Date: 14th century
1 : the religion derived from Jesus Christ , based on the Bible as sacred scripture, and professed by Eastern, Roman Catholic, and Protestant bodies.” - phew!!

Ps. I was of the opinion JRRT was & remained RC throughout his life, did he ever convert to another branch of Christianity?
