Sorry, I Was Misunderstood... LotR
Chrissy
OK, it seems I've been misunderstood. Not that that's bad, I wasn't really clear.
First of all, the dictionary that was read for the def. of "Christianity", is a secular dictionary. A Christian is someone who belives that Jesus was and IS God, and is the only person who was ever holy. RC don't believe that Jesus was God, and they believe that Mary was "holy", which isn't true either, b/c holy means perfect. No one was perfect and no one ever will be but Jesus Christ himself. They worship Mary, which is also wrong. The Bible says in Exodus 20:3&5, “Thou shalt not have any other gods before me….thou shalt not bow down and worship them…”
My point in this is that a Christian cannot be a RC.
Also, there are not “branches” of Christianity. There are denominations, which believe slightly different things such as baptism, the Rapture, etc. But what is required of a Christian to believe is that Jesus IS fully God, Fully Man, and fully Holy Spirit. These are the roots of Christianity and CANNOT be compromised, which is what the RCs do.
As for my knowledge on LOTR, I am taking a class that is taught at a college here in London, by close friends of those who knew Tolkien. Tolkien DID convert to Chirstianity, later in life. Also the HOBBIT and the FELLOWSHIP were written before he was converted.
Got any opinion different than this, email me at chrissys12345@hotmail.com, or chrissys12345@yahoo.com.
Thanx
Chrissy
