Chrissy and Christianity
Mr. Underhill

Well Chrissy, it seems that we disagree on several points. As much as I wanted to keep the subject of religion off of this forum, I cannot ignore your last article. I have never in my life encountered an odder opinion of the Catholic faith. "RCs do not believe that Jesus is God?" What? Where in the world did you get that? I have never in my life heard that objection raised against Catholics. Of course we believe that Jesus is God. Of course we believe that he is Holy. I highly doubt that you personally know any Roman Catholics. We do not worship Mary. We worship God alone. We honor Mary because she is the mother of Jesus. That's all. It's the same as giving respect to the mother of a close friend. I don't really know where in the Shire you're coming from.

I'm a Catholic, and you're obviously not, it makes sense that I would know what Roman Catholics believe. Trust me. Kindly cut the bashing of other people's religions. There are people from all different religions and sects who have come together on this forum to talk about something they enjoy in common: Lord of the Rings. This is a Tolkien forum. Let's keep it that way. I'm sorry folks for getting off topic, but I felt obligated to respond to this one.

To put some Tolkien info here... The ROTK trailer is coming out Today!!! I'm pumped. Definitely pumped. Can't wait to see it.

I remain hobbitly yours,

Mr. Baggi... um Underhill... my name's Underhill
