This religion business has gotten out of hand. It's possible that Chrissy refers to the following.
In the 4th century (or maybe 3rd) when the romans became christians it wasn't clear if Jesus was the son of God (i.e. god) or not. It was decided by voting amongst the bishops or what they were called back then. The vote was pretty close but it was then decided that he was divine. Up until that time there were two opinions about that.
