The Witch-king of RotK
Bob Praz

I was wondering how many of you have seen the new picture of the Witch-King that was posted on the official site (as well as theonering.net) lately. I think he looks interesting, but definitely not what I imagined (not that it's bad, but I don't know what to expect anymore). I think that he's going to look very scary, though, and that's the most important thing. I can't wait to see him in full armor; we only see a glimpse of him in the trailer (he's the nazgul landing in Minas Morgul right after the green spire goes up).

On a related issue, I'm slightly disappointed, if not anxious, that it doesn't seem like the Witch-King will ride a black horse at all in ROTK. Of course, I understand that PJ doesn't want to confuse the audience by having the wraith-lord ride two different steeds at various times - and I agree with him - but one of my favourite moments of the book is when the Lord of the Nazgul rides through the arch of the ruined Gate of Minas Tirith and confronts Gandalf; I can't see that happening (at least not in a way that's as great as the book) with him riding the winged Fell Beast. Does anyone have any opinions or theories on this?
By the way, before someone brings it up (I'm not sure if someone suggested it in this forum), the Nazgul Gandalf and Pippin confront at the end of the DVD preview of ROTK is obviously not the Witch-King, as he isn't wearing any armor. So that option is ruled out. I'd like to know what PJ is planning for us.

The Praz is getting very impatient...
