I Am Sooooooo Bored, People!
Anthony T.

Hey everyone! As much as I love a good debate about Tolkien, and as much as you guyz are so knowledgable and enjoyable to read, I am getting soooooooo bored with the same old debates over and over and OVER again! Glorfindel vs Arwen, the absence of Tom Bombadil, the Balrog and his maybe-maybenot wings, to Liv or not to Liv! Can we please all put our thinking caps on, and come up with something new to talk about!!! Peter Jackson has made his movies, and done a fine job considering. They have been set in stone and there's nothing any of us can do about it now. So let's enjoy these works of someone's imagination, and get on with it! PLEASE!!!!!

Now i know it will be really hypocritical of me to just complain about the lack of new debates, and then to leave this entry without starting some new topic, so here goes:

Did anyone notice when Saruman and Lurtz were standing in Orthanc, (during the conversation when Saruman was explaining to Lurtz about the origins of the Orcs) - they were standing in front of the Palantir, and it was uncovered. Earlier in the movie, Gandalf quickly covers the Palantir, stating "We do not know who else may be watching!" Now in this scene, Saruman asks Lurtz "Who do you serve?" and Lurtz replies "Saruman." Sauron had earlier ordered Saruman to build him an army worthy of Mordor, and yet in this scene, Saruman blatantly exposes the fact that he has built himself (and NOT Sauron) an army of new and improved Orcs. Does anyone else think that Sauron would have been watching, and therefore it was really stupid of Saruman to reveal his cards like that?? Is this just an oversight of Peter Jackson? Maybe Sauron was in the bathroom at the time....but can flaming red eyes pee? Please explain...
