Wallpapers and Soundtrack
Danny

Ok first off, those witch king wallpapers are awesome. The winged beast looks amazing, and I absolutely love the armor design they gave the witch king. The beast, and the armor both have a strong influence from John Howe, but seing that his painting of Eowyn and the Witch King is by far my favorite, that is cool. Actually he is my favorite of all the tolkien artists (myself included, though I am getting better and as such rising in my list of favorites lol.)

There is one thing that makes me curious though. This quesiton will spoil a major moment in the third film for any who have not read the books so if you don't want anything spoiled then skip this paragraph. The winged beast really looks amazing and I have no complaints. I do however have to be curious how anyone would be able to make a sword to chop through a neck that thick. I always interpeted the reading of Eowyn's encounter with the Witch King to say she chopped the head off in one clean stroke. Maybe that is not neccesarily true according to the exact text (I would have to go reread it to find out for sure and I don't have the time right this moment.) Anyway, I am curious how Eowyn is going to kill that thing. It is going to be an incredible scene!!!! I am sure I am not alone here being on the brink of insanity as I wait for this film 8).

Ok now my thoughts on music. Don't get me wrong, I really like Annie Lennox. I have two of her cds actually, but I am really curious to see how her song comes across for ROTK. I am sure she will be capable of doing something amazing, but part of me wonders. I think Enya was perfectly suited for this trilogy and her song for Fellowship is excellent. I would have liked her to have done songs for all three movies, but that wasn't to be. Then again Enya already had written a song called Lothlorien and has always been a fan so she could put some of her own feeling about the story into her music. I hope nobody takes any offense at this, but the Gollum theme song was certainly not memorable. I just hope that the final theme song that Annie Lennox does is more on par with Enya's work in the first film, and not with the Gollum theme song in TTT. Does anybody know if Annie Lennox is a fan of the books etc?
