I finally have time out of school to read the forum and this is what I have to read? I'm sorry but I'm not as patient as Bob Praz. A few changes and minor cuts weren't a big deal for me. I could deal with no Tom Bombadil and could understand no Shire scouring, but this is just too big for my liking. I mean, there's the actual part that's being cut, Saruman and Grima, which is huge in itself, but then all the things it affects due to its being cut...oh man, why, PJ? WHY? (falls to his knees and starts sobbing) I'll still go see the movie opening night, but all I can say is if PJ lived near me, his house would be trashed beyond recognition soon after I write this. "Disturbs the pace of the movie" is not a good enough reason for me. They started TTT with the "end" of a story, so why can't they do the same here? And Gandalf doesn't deal out judgment to Saruman, he only delivers it from the Valar, or whoever are the wizards' superiors. They are the only ones who can make him "the White", even though those who haven't read the books don't know that. He's definitely doing this for the general public, not the Tolkien faithful, so unless something in the movie is so good he redeems himself, I consider him a sell-out.

P.S. I realize this is strong wording, but I can't take it anymore.
