Okay, I know that I'm probably going to be e-murdered for this, but....
Maybe we're all blowing this whole "Saruman out of ROTK" thing a little out of proportion? Okay, I can see what everyone's saying about the Palantir. How is that going to work? And this has definitely got to be one of the worst ways imaginable to 'pace' a movie. But maybe, just maybe, it'll turn out okay. To tell the truth, the Saruman scene is really only important (in my mind) because it sets up everything with the Palantir, which could be set up in a different way. My idea is that maybe Pippin will find it among the rubble of Isengard.
But I guess we won't know until December 17.
