RotK Extended DVD, EA Game, RotK Soundtrack, etc.
Bob Praz

Ok, first, about the Saruman's scene in ROTK that has been cut out (over which we have all been seemingly very passionate), it IS in the extended DVD of ROTK, for those who didn't seem to be sure. As for the ROTK Extended Edition overall, PJ said that there was a lot of good stuff planned for it, and I've heard that there will be some MORE reshoots next summer solely for the DVD - not including any of the main cast, however - which I find very surprising.

Anyhow, I am pretty confident that ROTK will be an amazing movie. Just like Tom Bombadil's omission in FOTR, Faramir's choices in TTT, and the elves at Helm's Deep, the deletion of the Isengard scene will likely prove not to be the great calamity that we are all calling it. PJ KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING. You may say that I'm being a little overconfident, but then I'd tell you to look at the last two movies (if you did not like them, however, that's another story). Wait and see the movie, THEN judge it. A bit of advice: don't do like I did with TTT, don't come in to see the movie desperately hoping that the changes aren't as bad as you'd heard or that everything will be as you'd have imagined it. All in all; I enjoyed TTT considerably more the second time I saw it, when I wasn't being all fussy.

Alright, moving on from my little lecture (hehe, t'was just my opinion)...
The Return of the King from EA Games: it looks AWESOME! I never got the fortune of playing EA's TTT game (which I seriously desired), but I got the demo for the ROTK game and I was seriously impressed. The graphics are ok, but the gameplay is absolutely wonderful. I would buy it as soon as it comes out, except I don't want to spoil the movie, so I'll wait till AFTER I've seen ROTK. If you can, get the demo and try it! (Luckily, EA has taken consideration of people like me and has decided to release it for the PC as well, unlike TTT)

By the way, Frodo_Lives, I listened to that clip of "Into the West" with Annie Lennox, and I'm afraid I must agree with you. It wasn’t very good. However the review said that it had a cumulative influence/effect, so I suppose I’d need to listen to the full version in order to really judge it. I, for one, appreciated “Gollum’s Song” in the TTT soundtrack, so I hope this song doesn’t disappoint too much...

Here ends another "multi-responding" post on my part. (sorry, don’t mean to be predictable...hehe)
