Essay Postings and Accepting Differences
Diana

Welcome Scooter! Feel free to post your essays. I don't mind listening to complaints, as long as they are not personal attacks at people, Tavra. To me, all of the complaints on the movie have good points, and are good. This site was originally about the movie, and this forum was originally set up to discuss the movies.

You need to have more patience and learn to accept differences. Your complaints probably won't do much either since people are just going to keep discussing the pros and cons of the movie, so let's not be hypocritic and insulting. I understand you like the movie, but everyone is different. We all liked the movie as well. We just think it could improve. I know it's human nature to feel offended when someone disagrees, but disagreements make the world interesting, and we have to accept differences, as I've mentioned in a previous essay which didn't get posted.

Don't worry, Tavra, as I've mentioned in that essay, I don't think non-Tolkien fans are here. If they are here, they are probably trying to find out why people like Tolkein's works so much, and we need to accept their opinions and preferences. Non-Tolkien fans should be invited as well.

I return everyday to read what people have to say. For four days, no new essays were posted, so I e-mailed the people in charge, asking what happened. Yesterday (May 8), I returned to find new essays posted. As I mentioned on the previous essay, I have noticed that this debate forum, which was orginally for the movie, has extended to include many topics and issues of Tolkien's works besides the movie. That is good, and everyone helps me see Tolkien's works from different angles. I will answer some of your questions and talk about the things mentioned in my previous essay on my next one.
