I Do Not Have a DVD Player
Orangeblossom

With regards I do not have a DVD player, so the fact that the confrontation will be in the Extend Version is not much of a confort. I am waiting to buy one when my VCR breaks and that does not seem like it will be any time soon. I think about it and if I were someone without any Tolkien Knowledge at all, without reading the books, without the class(for my creative writing major), without anything but the first two movies I would wonder what on the green earth happened to Saruman? It does not make sense to leave him wandering about Middle Earth. I trust Peter Jackson will make the best possible movie ever. How could he not? I know he has the Audience in mind, but I do not mind slow pacing, even at the beginning of a movie, (Gods and Generals really took time with its pacing and still a wonderful movie it needed the slow pace). I believe that the movie would be better with the scene in the film, but as I have not seen it yet, that is a question of the heavens. I have cried in both Fellowship of the Ring (when Gandalf "died" and when Boromir died) and in Two Towers (Helm's Deep) and I will probably cry as the battle in Gondor happens. Well I hope so. From the preview and the pictures Return of the King should be a good movie. I understand, from my theater major, that acting and movie making is a hard thing to do, you have to be willing to let someone see parts of you that no one gets to see. I hope I will feel the burst of hope and joy when Rohan comes to help and all the other emotions pervelent in the book. Peter Jackson has stayed in Middle Earth and stayed true.
I cannot wait until Return of the King!!!!!!!!!!
