TTT EE! Got It at Last!
Bob Praz

Ok, as quickly as possible I will say what I have to say, as I have little time at the moment.
I haven't watched the extended movie yet, because I once again have no time on school nights, and because I promised Imlar I would watch it for the first time with him this thursday (we have a half-day at school). However I've watched a few of the documentaries. First thing: I was very impressed by the quality of these, and they have almost wholly erased any doubts I had about the changes from the book.
Secondly: as I had suspected before, NO ONE insulted Tolkien in the DVD documentary. They mentioned how he was inexperienced as a novelist, and how he used unconventional methods of writing his book and creating his story (both of these points are true, but in a good way).
Thirdly: as I feared, the concepts of the slime Balrog and the fight up the Endless Stair were apparently abandoned early on, and thus will not appear in the Extended Edition either.

Ok, that was quickly said by MY standards. I'll probably post again once I've actually watched the movie.
