Various Stuffs
Fallongirl5150

First off, I liked the Annie Lennox song, but to each their own. There's really no reason to argue about it.

I forget who the poster was (and I apologize), but whoever was worried about the writers of TTT insulting Tolkien had taken the comments out of context. They said the novel was not written as a professional novelist would write (which is true). They commented on the unlikeliness that any publishers would accept the novel today (also probably true).

As for scenes I'm glad were left out of the theatrical release, I felt there was too much at the end of the TTT EE that slowed it down a bit. I loved it all, Osgiliath sewers, Gimli and Legolas counting, Merry and Pippen, but felt that it just really anti-climactic to the movie. I don't think that it's something someone who hasn't read the books would enjoy. Thus, I'm glad it was left out. Gollum getting beat up didn't really bother me too much, though.

Patiently,
Fallon
