Finally Some Common Sense
Danny

I hear you Scooter! In honesty, it drives me nuts sometimes to hear all the complaints about the film. Sure there were things in my imagination that didn't harmonize with PJ's interpetations, but that is the way all literature is.

Most of the time, criticism is harmful and useless, but human nature is to pick away at things like vultures. I for one would like to see more comments on the elements of the movie that people enjoyed. So I will start. I thought that the depiction of the Shire was perfect. The list of things I loved is so much longer than my list of petty gripes.

PJ did a brilliant job with perhaps the riskiest movie project in my generation if not all time. I say we can be understanding if, heaven forbid, PJ's imagination isn't exactly like ours, and if the nature of film neccesitated some minor changes. Thanks to Scooter for saying what needed to be said!
