Who Broke My Ring? (Book & Possible Film Spoilers)

Whoops, I wrote my last article and totally forgot to respond to Aragorn's poll.

I tried to narrow it down to only one person most responsible for destroying the ring, but it's tough. Without Frodo, it doesn't happen. Without Sam, it doesn't happen. Gandalf and Aragorn's classic distraction are vital to Frodo getting the Ring to Mount Doom. Gollum is a pivotal piece. Sauron's own folly was also key. I guess it was a team effort. That's what the Fellowship was all about anyway. If I had to narrow it down to 2 people, I'd say Frodo & Sam. You really can't go any further. Frodo's strong will and determination got the Ring to Mount Doom, but without Sam's staunch support, Frodo doesn't get to Mount Doom. It's a tough call, and I don't think there is one answer.
