Soundtrack and Extended Edition
Ashleigh
(Something weird just happened...I hope my first incomplete article isn't going to be posted...it just dissapeared...) ...Uh..yes...the topic...
After many months of silently observing posts, I have decided to post again! I was surprised to see you had to complete a registration form and all to submit articles, but this way, with the profile and stuff, you get to know the people who post a bit more...but anyways...
The Two Towers Extended Edition has stunned me. I absolutely love it. The scene entitled "Sons of the Steward" is my personal favorite. It puts Boromir in a whole new light (poor Boromir!) and justifies Faramir's actions. The scene called "One of the Dunedain" (or something like that) was another highlight. I was glad to see the scene where the trees come to Helm's Deep. What can I say? Murderous trees are just so incredibly funny. "Flotsam and Jetsam" with Merry and Pippen was great.
The soundtrack...I am in awe. I have listened to it four times and am in love. The tone is completely different and a lot softer and more classical. If the soundtrack is this great, I have no doubt the movie will be. Billy Boyd's singing was very, very interesting, as was Viggo Mortenson's.
And...does anyone know if they are going to presale tickets for the December 17th at the theaters? Not for the special shows...the normal screenings later in the day? or have I just been ignorant and haven't noticed that they are going to do so? I'm paranoid that I won't get tickets!
