TTT EE and Advance Tickets
Eric the Brown

I have watched the TTT EE twice and thoroughly enjoyed it. My favorite scene was the twisted family relationship of Faramir, Boromir and their father. The scene with Boromir up on the battlements with the white flag of Gondor was awesome. That scene went a long way in explaining both Faramir's and Boromir's actions. My wife, who hasn't read the books, thought the movie made much more sense to her with that scene added.

As far as buying tickets in advance they are available on-line through the official site LOTR movie site. All you have to do is type in your zip code and it will take you into Fandango for you to purchase your tickets on-line, which I have already done!

Finally I don't understand why some of you still have issues with the way the movie portrays Faramir. It would have been incredibly inconsistent if Faramir was the only human able to not only resist the lure of the ring but be completely oblivious to its seductive powers. It would have also completely destroyed the premise that the movie had so strongly put forth that the ring is sentient and able to corrupt even the purest heart. It also gives the character of Faramir somewhere to go and the movie ably shows the contrast between the two brothers when Faramir is able to let Frodo go even though it may mean his live whereas Boromir tried to forcibly take the ring from Frodo. Also in regards to the rough treatment of Gollum by the the men of Gondor, Gollum looks like a foul creature and I am sure they feel he is possibly a spy from Mordor. Also they don't have any sympathy for him, like most of us do, since they don't understand who or what he is. I would urge all of you who still have issues with the way Faramir is portrayed to watch the Director's commentary as they go to some lengths to explain all of their decisions and most of all about their decisions in regards to Faramir. If after that you still have issues so be it.

Only 19 days to go and I have my tickets, life just keeps getting better and better.
