Just Wanted to Introduce Myself...
Maeglin
Hello!!! Or maybe should I say "Elen sila lumenn' omenti elvo!"
I am a 23 years old Tolkien fan from Poland/ Cuiavia and Pomerania voivodship (if anyone would like to check it on the map :)). First time when I met with Master's books I was 12. It was the love from first sight...
What can I say about the film... Nobody's perfect, that's for sure, so the film wasn't made in the way I imagined it to be. But PJ tried, and I appreciate it. Second thing is that there weren't ideal films based on books in all history of the cinema.
My favourite Tolkien's book: of course The Silmarillion. Best part of it: Quenta Silmarilion.
I love the early history of Middle-Earth, and this nearly endless struggle in Beleriand. And for what? For the three little stones. Well, everything could be the pretext for war.
Best event in the book "Lord of the Rings"... I think that I had excellent time reading the description of the Battle on the Cormallen Fields.
The Best event in the "Fellowship..." film: Gandalf versus Balrog in Moria
The Best event in the "Two Towers" : the beginning of the siege of the Helm's Deep
I think that the worst event in both films was the appaling efficiency of the Nazgul. Well, they aren't even 10% that dangerous than they were in the Books. In the "Two Towers" the event when Frodo stands face to face with one of the Black Riders ( I mean the scene in Osgiliath) would never happen in the Book, because if this would happen, the Frodo would be immediatelly killed by the Rider. This is only my point of view, so you can argue with me.
Greetings to all the Fans! Let the Elbereth bless your way under the Stars!
