Re: Corsairs of Umbar
Bob Praz

Not to worry, as far as I know, the Corsairs of Umbar are in the movie (unless, once again, they were cut, but that seems unlikely, and I hope I'm right). In Brian Sibley's "The Making of the Trilogy", there's a little bit where they talk about the miniatures used for the Corsair ships. (Actually, they talk about a lot of stuff in that book, which is why I love it.)
Also, PJ did shoot a short sequence where he did a cameo, appearing as one of the corsairs and fighting one of the main characters. However, the cameo was mostly or completely cut from the theatrical version, according to Peter himself.

So just to say that the Corsairs are supposed to have their role in ROTK; if not, I guess it's another sequence for the Extended Edition. Keep in mind, smack, that the EA game often differs from the movie in several areas. Hopefully this is the case.

PS: I think I've heard rumors about the battle at Pelargir in ROTK (where Aragorn routs the forces of Mordor with the help of the AotD). Does anyone have information concerning that part of the movie? I hope PJ did like he did with the Flooding of Isengard and shows it to us in live action.
