smack: Not only did the beginning sequence of the movie give andy serkis face time, but it helped explain how gollum got to be the way he is for all those people who didn't read the books. and it explains why gollum is always calling smeagol a murderer....it was just basically explaining, but i guess everybody knew that already.

lilly: I'M SO SORRY!!!! shallow teens indeed! my friend was fawning over legolas every time he showed up....and one girl almost came who had never seen the first two movies!! i agree....seeing it on your own is probably the best way to go: without the teens and their "gay" jokes...grrr....

danny: although i agree that frodo was not appreciated, i think that in rotk, the other characters seemed to have forgotten sam slightly...when they realized that the ring had been destroyed, they cheered for frodo only...of course they really didn't know how much sam did to help....

i can't wait for the extended dvd either!! so much good stuff in store for us there, i bet....although i wish that the relationship between eowyn and faramir was explained...it's okay.

do you guys really think they're going to make "the hobbit"? that would be amazing
