Tolkien, C.S. Lewis and Religion
Orangeblossom

I really do not think it does not matter whether or not Lord of the Rings is Christian or not. I mean I did not get that C.S. Lewis's Naria was Christian allerogy. I read it and loved it(not as much as I love LOTR) and I had no clue it was Christian. I did not know it until my fantasy fiction class last quarter, so I was 20 when I learned it was allergy. It did not stop my enjoyment of the Natia Chronicles not knowing it was Christian allerogy. It seems we all agree that LOTR is not allerogy, at least without calling Tolkien a lier, since he says it is not. So I guess all I am saying is that it does not matter whether or not LOTR is Christian. LOTR is a great movie and book without knowing, and just reading and watching with what is given.
Lilly: the couple sitting next to me and my friend, I guess were stupid, I only listened to the first comment and then tuned them out, but there are always jerks. Do not let them bother you.
Question: In the movie, Haldir and the elves come and help at Helm's Deep. I know Haldir dies and many other elves die, but do all the elves die? They do not ride out with Theoden and Aragorn, and they are not there in Return of the King as the armies are gathering to ride to the help of Gondor. So what happened? Did all the elves that came to help die?
