Frodo's Scars

When Frodo was taken captive and relieved of all his equipment at Cirith Ungol, we see 2 scars on his chest. One I know is from Weathertop, but I am uncertain as to the cause of his other scar. Is it from Moria, or Shelob? I have reason to deny either option:

In Moria, he was wearing the Mithril armor and was not, I had thought, sufficiently injured to suffer such a large scar.

On the other hand, Shelob's injury was rather too recent to have such a clean scar...

So what say ye wise Tolkienologists?

p.s. do any of you know if it is possible to find the Tolkien font Bilbo and Frodo used?
