PS: Gandalf in General

By the way (I should have inlcuded this in my last post), everyone's been asking why Gandalf didn't just cast some floating spell on himself to lift himself out of the chasm after being pulled in by the Balrog. They have cited that Saruman was able to "lift" Gandalf at Orthanc and that Gandalf was able to "fling" Gimli's axe. Okay, so wizards can "throw" other people and objects around remotely - does that mean they can do it to themselves? I could heave my little brother across the room, but I wouldn't fathom being able to heave MYSELF across said room. Maybe Gandalf doesn't "throw" himself back up to the bridge because he CAN'T!!! Just a thought.
