| January 9, 2004 Denethor Does anyone think that Denethor was done badly? In the books he was a proud but strong leader, until he fought with Sauron through the palantir, and lost. He was depressed because Sauron would only let him see the forces of evil, but he did everthing he could to help his people, up until Farimar was wounded. Tolkien described him as resembling Aragorn and Farimar.
