I'm watching this documentary on Lord of the Rings which is on TV here (east coast US) and PJ was saying that he didn't want Gandalf to seem perfect, and that's why he [Gandalf] despairs when he and Aragorn are at Edoras. Just thought you all might be interested in hearing (well...reading) that.
They played that scene "at least 28 times" before finally getting it the way PJ wanted it.

2, 350 shooting days total for the actors in LotR! wow.
Unfortunately, I only managed to catch 1/2 of the documentary.....but, ah well.

That's all I have to say for now.
