Re: Frodo_lives, Lilly, Pippin, Isilwen
Uruviel

This is my Re: post to those who posted on the 13th. I'd like to note that I will not be sarcastic to you when replying to your posts. (Except maybe Isilwen b/c she's my best friend!)

Re:Frodo_Lives, thanks for your post. Yes, I have read the books, but when referring to that scene in the movie, I was thinking more of the movie-Sam than the book-Sam. I think that the movie version Sam is wiser and a little less nieve and I think would be harder for the ring to corrupt.
Also you were right, Peter Jackson did skip the part with Sam and what he would have done with the ring, but I'm thinking that it was for the best, I don't think the general audience would have liked to see yet another character's struggle with the ring. It was'nt needed I guess because they'd already established how dangerous the ring was.
Thanks for replying, I guess I should have made my opinion sound more like opinion than fact because it just depends on how each person wants to see it.

Re:Lilly, thank you for your post too. You're right, It can been seen that way too.

Re:Pippin, fav char? Boromir! He's awesome in the books, and better in the movie. I like the way Sean Bean portrayed him. I think he's a great character because I think his struggle with the ring really showed how evil the ring was. His story is sad because physically, he was so strong and battle-wise, but he could not win his inner battle to resist the ring.

Re:Isilwen, Hey Frin! Oh, I'd like every one who is reading this to also read Isilwen's post. I concurr with everything she said!
