Pippen's Song
Elendur

Some of you have mentioned that you like Pippen's song during Farimar's charge on Osgiliath. Guess what? It is(with a few minor differences) part of a song in the Fellowship of the Ring, in the chapter "Three is Company."

"Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight...

Mist and shadow, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!..."

But in the song's tone is different and ends in:

"Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!"
