Elven Swords

First: Yes, Glamdring should glow when orcs are near. It says so specifically, if not in LotR then in The hobbit. The scene where all the hobbits pull out there swords and Sting is glowing is pretty good though, and to have another Glamdring glowing to would take away from that.

Actually, I didn't notice any Elvish swords except for Sting glowing, but Sting and Glamdring were made in Gondolin, in the First Age, and the Elves had a lot more power then. It would make sense that they lost the skill to make swords like that, but the Prologue to FotR could have been even more awesome. Hard to imagine.
