Ok so the other day I was thinking. And maybe I have just had a total brain fart or something. Ok the unwilling elves that stayed behind and did not follow the Eldar to Valinor, some were captured by Melkor and thrown into the pits of Utumno. There they became a corrupted and fallen race of beings. Therefore, since Elves are immortal, and cannot die by sickness or oldage. Would it be possible that orcs too cannot die, but by the blade? *shrugs*
