Rarely Seen Fran Walsh
Uruviel

In 2002 after The Fellowship of the Ring had been out for a while, I got the book, the Lord of the Rings official movie guide and soon learned that the people responsible for most of the ideas for the Lord of the Rings movies were Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh and Phillipa Boyens.

Then after the dvd and then extended dvd of the Fellowship of the Rings came out, I got to who peter Jackson and Phillipa Boyens were. But Not Fran Walsh. I had seen many pictures of PJ, and seen PJ and Phillipa talking on the dvd's and sometimes they'd even talk about Fran Walsh and her wonderful ideas, but never did I see Fran Walsh, yet when ever I read or watched anything on LOTR her name came up. I knew she and Peter had had kids together.

Things went on like that for two years, before my friend and I finally tried to find a picture of her online, it took a while but we found a picture of her and Pj walking down the red carpet for the Premiere of the two towers. She was very pretty, I don't know what we'd been expecting. Maybe some one who was very self-councious or shy, someone who did not want to be on the dvd's.

Anyways, so I saw her again at the golden globe awards when she and Howard Shore accepted the award for best original song.

It's really amazing when oyu think of all the things Fran walsh is accredited to, I think she wrote the lyrics for just about every song in LOTR and came up with alot of the dialogue.

It's just kind of neat how she was kind of a mystery person, but should be seen and acknowledged for her wonderful talent.
