Re: Hobbit Movie
Lilly

From what I hear, Peter Jackson wants to do the Hobbit, and is trying to get ahold of the rights to the story, which the Tolkien Estate is apparently loath to let go of. But he's reputedly making great strides toward the end he wants.

I'm just worried that if he does he'll let the story slip and make it more of a nostalgic, 'let's see how many LOTR cameos we can stuff into another middle-earth movie'. Oh, look! Sean Astin made up to look like young Gaffer! Oh, look, John Rys-Davies plays Gloin! Oh, look! There's Legolas...there's Arwen...there's....well, you get it, I think.

But I've got faith in them, and I don't think anyone but PJ should make it.

But honestly, I don't think it's necessary to make it.

...and also, the ROTK regular DVD should be coming out in May-June. And the EE DVD is still coming out in November.

Yeah.

Yours.
