Glamdring Again
Lem

my computer has been down for a couple of weeks, so i didn't get a chance to read about the whole Glamdring thing until now.
it seems to have settled down a bit, but I want to add my two cents to the pile. I'm in the midst of re-reading the Hobbit, and it seems that Glamdring is supposed to glow in the prescence of GOBLINS. however, in the next chapter, Tolkien mentions in passing that goblins are distant cousins to orcs.
so there's a little something to nibble on.

and ps. I find these political debates very intriguing although I have little to add for myself, so although I agree that this debate is about Tolkien's works, by all means, don't hesitate to continue with the politics.
