F: Farimar
Elendur

He's got to be one of the best characters in the book and they destroyed him. Completely mauled. Where was the man who "was stern and commanding, and a keen wit lay behind his searching glance" ? Where was the man who Beregond said "can master both beasts and men" and "is bold, more bold than many deem; for in these days men are slow to believe that a captain can be wise and learned in the scrolls of lore and song, as he his, and yet a man of hardihood and swift judgement in the field. But such is Farimar." ? Where was the man who said of the Ring: "I would not take this thing, if it lay by the highway."

The Farimar in the movies does not have that strength, neither in body nor in mind.

PS: To Mr. Underhill: The Gondorian you mentioned is Imrahil.

PS: Pip: The one-eyed orc's name is named Gothmog. The book implies Gothmog is actually a Nazgul.
