Re: George Lucas
Everett

Hey, Brett, when I saw Theoden's death in RotK for the first time, that was exactly what I thought, too. In fact, I leaned over to the guy sitting next to me and added, "You already have, Eowyn. You already have. Tell your brother you were right about me. Tell your brother you were right."

As to the line I sited, I was being facetious. I only brought it up because I thought it highlighted how bad of a line it was. There are definitely parallels between Star Wars and PJ's LotR, but I don't think that particular one was intentional. After all, The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones are far, far inferior to the original trilogy (sort of like the movies are far, far inferior to the book), though I must admit, Attack of the Clones would have been a decent movie if they had just eliminated all of Anakin's speaking parts ("I hate the sand. It's so rough and coarse. And it gets in everything. But everything here is soft." "I'm never going to fail again. Ever.").

Oh well.
