Re: Question

Well, I didn't cry during the film, but there were some places where I got choked up. The scenes that really got to me were: Arwen's moment with her father when she drops the book and Elrond says "your hands are cold" (I really like Hugo's expression of sorrow and loss); The scene with Faramir and Denethor, and when the soldiers are riding out with Faramir on the suicide mission and Gandalf asks him not to throw his life away "Your father loves you, Faramir" (again, a feeling of loss); and I know it probably sounds weird, but I got emotional when they lit the beacon of Gondor, and Aragorn races in to tell Theoden that the beacon has been lit. I have to say, this movie would not have been as emotional or as good without the music of Howard Shore. He was just brilliant. Some of the best scenes are where is score is most noticable (in my opinion.) Of course, all of the other scenes that people have mentioned where beautiful and emotional as well.
